Sound Blaster Wireless Music

Well letfs see where to start in traditional Kuja tradition, Kuja was displeased to say the least with this product. Its a joke really!!!!, the product needs 4 components to install.

1. A Server Component - this needs to be running for you to broadcast to your device. Ironically its not even a service, so lets just say you had a machine dedicated to this function and you wanted to have it up and running at all times, something happens that the box needs to be rebooted. Unless you have the machine setup to start up without a login or to login automatically then you are pooched. In addition this server component is not tested on Win2K3Server. Whatfs up with that?

2. A network config component, no not over the network, but through USB - this is fine as its normal for such things.

3. The worst of them all, media manager. Holy cow why oh why does this fucking thing need to be installed? What if Kuja just wanted to use the existing m3u play lists that Kuja has created with Winamp? I cannot with their software, its hokey, Kuja advises that if you buy this return it ! What a piece of shit, more than most of us have developed m3u's over the years and do we want to do this building of play lists again?

4.A driver installation. Easy enough but it wont work on Windows 2003, this Kuja cannot understand you create a component that needs to broadcast and run from a "server".

Oh yeah and when you install the product you also have to make sure that you uncheck support for EVERY freakin thing that they make under the sun. Such as the Nomad above.

Over all Kuja is not very happy with this lame ass product. There was choppy music playing at times and the remote freezes with a Microsoft Windows 95-like hourglass. Kuja was very pissed at this and returned it to Frys.

Creative has once again pissed Kuja off and will continue too unless they think more in terms of what Kuja wants.

Kuja therefore gives this product only one star!

Overall this product lacks lots of the necessary components that would make up a great player:

1. Usability

2. Ease of interface

3. Light on your OS

4. Ease of use, this product makes you use its software to organize your MP3's and while this is understood it makes for much work to "setup" your collection again. Not good!! They should have done it more like the NetGear software. Or stayed out of the network business.

5. A WPA enabled product, it came out of the box in May 2004, without WPA enabled firmware. NOT GOOD!

Overall we are agreeing with Kuja and giving it 1 paw. It is an attractive product because you have your collection at your fingertips however on all fronts it seems to fall very short of the hype.

NetgearMP101

Let Kuja begin by saying that this thing sucks. Kuja does not even know where to start. This thing was very very easy to configure and get up and running however the damn thing would not play music well at all often becoming very very choppy and skipping many parts of the track. Kuja knows what you are thinking it was the MP3, NO it was a rip that Kuja did personally at 320 and still this and its still is choppy. Kuja knows what you are going to say next and NO the network does not suck and YES itfs tuned.

Compared to the other units on the market like this Kuja feels definitely that this is the better one for ease of setup however the choppy playback sucks. Also the remote is weak.

Kuja also possesses a very large collection of MP3's and that could have been the reason that the player had a hard time playing. But it still sucks. It also did not recognize the M3U file play lists.

Therefore Kuja gives this a 4 out of 10 rating. Again if you donft like this review Kuja grows tired of you and suggests you stick your head back up your ass where it belongs.

Overall this unit is GREAT. Netgear in its great traditional network strength has built a very easy to install and adaptable controller.

However we do feel it needs work. This product was reviewed by Kuja and me during the month of May. It just did not handle the amount of MP3's that we tried to load into it very well.

We are going to have to agree with Kuja but recommend that NO ONE buy this until they can come out with a newer release.

Returned after 29 days, so overall not so bad but the Windows Media Player got OLD.
